Being really busy at work and my unfinished quilt ( I have the borders left to do) have been conspiring to keep me away from my sewing machine but the holiday has given me some breathing room...here's a stocking stuffer for one on the Australian nieces.

Modern Patchwork Twice

You have to love the internet. While trying to find a book called Modern Patchwork before I knew the author because of this quilt, I found another book called Modern Patchwork, and only being a few bucks I ordered it anyway. Well, it came and what a gem it is. It was published in 1982 by Ondori - it's like a precursor to those Japanese craft books we are all crazy about. Best of all are the glorious color combinations. I'm particularly partial to the yellow and browns.
